ACTING
I still remember writing in my high school diary, "I'm going to be an actor". I knew that I wanted to explore the theatre and dramatic arts and, after graduating from university with a Bachelor of Performing Arts, I got representation and never looked back.
For me, acting is pure play. I love the stimulation of rehearsal, exploring the ideas of a writer, collaborating with directors, and the relationship you build with the audience. Feeding off that exchange, the listening and live feedback, and the storytelling – being able to inhabit the life of another person brings an incredible freedom.
Dream Projects? So many. I want to work with Jane Campion and Nicole Kidman. Luke Davies, who authored Candy, I’d love to do something he’s written. Loads of independent theatre and Australian television.
