YOGA TRAINING
I began my love affair with yoga and meditation while completing my university degree in Theatre over 20 years ago. I've explored many different styles including Iyengar, Ashtanga, Kundalini and Vipassana Meditation, but it wasn't until 2003 – while travelling through Central America in 2003 with two Hatha teachers – that the practice really became part of my daily life.
Nourished by the feeling of calm, strength, and energy I experienced, I felt compelled to share and completed my first Yoga Teacher Training at Samadhi Yoga. I've continued my study of yoga, pranayama and meditation in workshops and intensives with Shiva Rea, Tara Brach, Clive Sheridan, Ana Forest, Simon Park and Sindar Kaur, and taken part in several Vipassana silent retreats.
My introduction to Yin Yoga was transformational. I trained to teach this wholly healing modality with Melanie McLaughlin from The Yin Space, while keeping my love for a yang practice alive by studying the Evolution of Vinyasa with Shiva Rea.
How do I teach? With a passion for dynamic, Hatha Vinyasa style balanced by deep, slow Yin Yoga, and the powers of pranayama and meditation. My classes are creative, vibrant, focused and transformational – sprinkled with humour, heart and soul.
